Romania’s OMV Petrom awards EUR 130 mln contract for oil and gas services

Oil & gas company OMV Petrom will allocate between EUR 50.8 million and EUR 130 million (without VAT) from its own resources for oil and gas services. The contract’s length will be 84 months after the attribution date.

The winning company must provide services for OMV Petrom’s oil and gas business, such as repair, maintenance, and transportation services. To qualify for this contract, the bidders must prove that they recorded turnovers of at least EUR 29.8 million for the last three years – 2012, 2013, and 2014. They also need to prove they have access to financial resources, reports local Economica.net.

OMV Petrom ended the first half of 2015 with a net profit of RON 1.04 billion (EUR 234 million), down by 25% year-on-year. In the first half of 2014, the company had a net profit of RON 1.38 billion.
