Romania saw over 19,500 new houses built in the first half of the year, up by 11% compared to the same period of 2014. Over 10,300 houses were delivered in the second quarter of the year, 990 more compared to the second quarter last year.
Six of Romania’s regions recorded increases in the number of new built in the first half of the year.
Romania’s Bucharest-Ilfov and Central regions saw the biggest increases in new houses. In Bucharest and Ilfov the number of new finished in the first half of the year went up by 1,325 to 4,777, which stands for a 38% increase. The Central region, which includes the cities of Brasov and Sibiu, had 1,215 more new houses finalized than in H1 2015 (2,587 in total, compared to 1,372).
The North-West and North-East regions were the only ones which had fewer houses finalized in the first six months of 2015.
